Shri Gambhira Parshwanath Jain Shwetamber Mandir, Dungarpur

Mulnayak Shri Shri Gambhira Parshwanath Bhagwan, white colour in padmasana posture with beautiful panch dhatu parikar.

This Shikharbandh Jain temple is situated on a valley in the old locality of Dungarpur city. The time when this temple was built by Shalashah is written on the entrance of the temple, 1312 Veer Nirvan sambart. The specialty of this temple written in 1782 is that the peak of the temple is made of Parena stone. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple has italian glass. Beautiful glass inlay work on sixteen pillars of the temple.

There is a 10″ high white stone statue of Lord Shri Munisuvrata Bhagwan, 14″ high black stone statue of Lord Shri Sambhavnath Bhagwan and 17″ high white stone statue of Lord Shri Parshwanath Bhagwan.
The statue of Shri Gautam Ganadhar is made of white stone also here.
At the exit of the temple, there is a black stone statue of Shri Parswa Yaksha. This statue is miraculous.

In this temple, there are five murals of Shri Girnar ji, Nakoda ji, Shikharji, Shatrujaya and Jaisalmer Tirth. There is a Bhoyra (cellar) in the temple. It is said that this is the inner path of the ground floor which leads to the palaces. Queens from the palaces used to come through this route and pay obeisance to the Bhagwan.

A hundred years ago, there were 50 stone and 29 metal idols in the temple and there were houses of about four hundred Jain families. At present there are about two hundred and fifty houses of Jains.

The annual flag of the temple is hoisted on Kartik Sudi 15. This temple is looked after by Shri Jain Shwetambar Bisa Porwal Sagh.

मूलनायक श्री श्री गम्भीरा पार्श्वनाथ भगवान, श्वेत वर्ण पद्मासन मुद्रा मे सुन्दर पंच धातु परिकर सहित।

यह शिखरबंध जैन मंदिर डूंगरपुर शहर के पुराने इलाके में एक घाटी पर स्थित है। इस मंदिर का निर्माण शालाशाह ने करवाया था, मंदिर के प्रवेश द्वार पर 1312 वीर निर्वाण संबत लिखा हुआ है। 1782 में लिखे गए इस मंदिर की खासियत यह है कि मंदिर का शिखर पारेना पत्थर से बना है। मंदिर के गर्भगृह में इटैलियन कांच लगा हुआ है। मंदिर के सोलह स्तंभों पर सुंदर कांच की जड़ाई का काम है।

यहां भगवान श्री मुनिसुव्रत भगवान की 10″ ऊंची सफेद पत्थर की मूर्ति है और भगवान श्री संभवनाथ भगवान की 14″ ऊंची काले पत्थर की मूर्ति एवं भगवान श्री पार्श्वनाथ भगवान की 17″ ऊंची सफेद पत्थर की मूर्ति है। यहां श्री गौतम गणधर की प्रतिमा भी सफेद पत्थर से निर्मित है।
मंदिर के निकास द्वार पर श्री पार्श्व यक्ष की काले पत्थर की मूर्ति है। यह प्रतिमा चमत्कारी है.

इस मंदिर में श्री गिरनार जी, नाकोडा जी, शिखरजी, शत्रुजय और जैसलमेर तीर्थ के पांच भित्तिचित्र हैं। मंदिर में एक भोयरा (तहखाना) है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि यह भूतल का आंतरिक मार्ग है जो महलों की ओर जाता है। महलों की रानियाँ इसी मार्ग से आती थीं और भगवान के दर्शन करती थीं।

सौ साल पहले मंदिर में 50 पत्थर और 29 धातु की मूर्तियाँ थीं और यहाँ लगभग चार सौ जैन परिवारों के घर थे। वर्तमान में यहां जैनियों के लगभग ढाई सौ घर हैं।

मंदिर की वार्षिक ध्वजा कार्तिक सुदी 15 को फहराई जाती है। इस मंदिर की देखभाल श्री जैन श्वेतांबर बीसा पोरवाल संघ द्वारा की जाती है।
